AUSTIN, TX – Pluckers restaurant in Southpark Meadows donated half of all purchases to support employee Jakk Jones who was seriously injured on December 9 when his car was struck by an alleged drunk driver on December 9, CBS Austin reports.
Jones and his wife were returning home after the Pluckers Christmas party when they were run off the road on the eastbound service road of State Highway 71 and their vehicle overturned. The other driver allegedly fled the scene. A DWI warrant was issued.
Jones suffered severe injuries and recently underwent successful spinal surgery. He now faces a long recovery. Pluckers set up the fundraiser to help pay for his medical bills and other recovery costs.
